Stephen Coleman Kenny is a passionate urbanist and community organizer. He serves as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for ANC 1A05 in Columbia Heights, DC. His day job is with Smart Growth America, where he develops and advocates for federal policies to better support public transit and nationwide passenger rail development. Stephen grew up in Metuchen, New Jersey, and has resided in the DC area for 6 years, now calling Columbia Heights his home. Kenny earned a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Maryland in 2021, and is committed to building healthy, safe, and thriving communities.
