Get Involved

From the very beginning, the core of GGWash’s success has been its dedicated and engaged community. There are all kinds of ways you can get involved in our work, whether by attending an event, volunteering, or writing to your local representatives. Check back here or sign up for email updates to stay in the loop about ways to engage with us.

  • Freelance with GGWash

Calling all freelancers! Are you a writer interested in exploring how decisions about land use, transportation, and housing shape the world we live in? GGWash is expanding paid writing opportunities for the GGWash publication. We are looking for pitches for explainers, features, historical pieces, and news articles about transportation, housing, land use, and sustainability in the Washington region.

  • Volunteer with GGWash

Want to volunteer with GGWash but don't see a specific opportunity that speaks to you? Fill out this form to get involved!

  • Breakfast Links Curator

GGWash's Breakfast links are the conversation starters for the day on our blog. We are looking for people with a nose for news, who can handpick six to 10 engaging stories across media platforms that cover the region's biggest urbanist stories. We need early risers. Links usually go out by 9 am and need to be submitted to editors by 8 am. We are currently looking for volunteers who have a few hours on Wednesday or Thursday mornings. If you're one of those people who has to get the scoop before their cup of coffee (or tea) in the morning, then this volunteer position is for you. Click here for more information.
