  DC is starting temporary fixes to dangerous Florida Avenue NE

  After years of community pressure, multiple deaths, and an emergency bill in the DC Council, DC is working to make Florida Avenue NE safer.   One of the most common safety issues with streetcar tracks around the world is that bicycle tires get caught in them.   Nobody else should die crossing the street in Washington, DC

  On Wednesday night, a tour bus driver struck and killed two people crossing Pennsylvania Avenue. They had just spent the evening enjoying holiday decorations around the capital.
