Last Friday, two vigils were held back to back on Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue in Congress Heights. One memorialized the victims of gun violence, and the other, people killed by drivers. Safety updates are coming to Alabama Avenue SE where two schoolchildren were hit

A few hundred people rallied in front of the John A. Wilson Building at noon on Friday to demand “streets that don’t kill people” in the District. A community mourns Abdul Seck and demands safer roads east of the Anacostia
The sun was setting as neighbors, supporters and mourners gathered on a hilly corner in Anacostia on Wednesday, April 24 to say goodbye and celebrate the life of someone gone too soon.
