Trump says DC’s murders are way up. That’s false.

We’re building apartments to be far smaller than we used to
The average size of new apartments is shrinking in major cities all around the country. In DC alone, new apartments built between 2010 and 2016 are on average 9% smaller than those built in prior years. Ambulances take longer to reach you if you live east of the Anacostia River
Ambulances in DC generally take longer to respond to neighborhoods east of the Anacostia River, and the river itself seems to be part of the cause.
