How a revamped New Carrollton station could impact Prince George’s
County and private development officials are betting big on the $47 million redevelopment at New Carrollton which includes bike lanes, sidewalks, and a new train hall. Construction is scheduled to start next year, with everything to be completed by 2026. Transit-oriented development is already happening around the station including a 291-unit apartment complex. Amtrak is also overhauling its facilities to the tune of $75 million, Metro’s Maryland headquarters will also be placed there. (Luz Lazo / Post)
Elrich certified as primary winner in Montgomery County executive race after recount

Plans for Bond Bread Factory redevelopment on Georgia Avenue move forward
Developers filed plans with DC’s Historic Preservation Office to redevelop the Bond Bread Factory and Washington Railway & Electric Company (WRECO) buildings into a mixed-use destination complete with 472 residential units, 180 hotel rooms, street-facing retail space, and a nearly 20,000 square-foot public plaza. What to expect on Metrorail this weekend
The Yellow Line continues to only run between Huntington and National Airport, and trains are running every 20 minutes. Arlington makes Opendoor’s list of 15 best cities for families
Opendoor, a digital residential real estate company, ranked Arlington third among its list of top 15 US cities for families. The app listed amenities like access and parks and picnic sites and academic excellence as some criteria in their decision, according to a press release. (Ivy Lyons / WTOP)
