Vaccine eligibility timeline ratchets up in DC, Maryland
All residents ages 16 and up will soon be eligible for vaccines in both DC and Maryland. Maryland officials announced that eligibility expands today at mass vaccination sites and by April 12 at pharmacies. Meanwhile, DC residents over 16 will be eligible by April 19. Baltimore council passes bill allowing security deposit alternatives
Baltimore’s City Council has passed a controversial bill that would require some landlords to offer tenants two security deposit alternatives: paying the deposit in three monthly installments or purchasing “rental security insurance.” Tenant advocates say the insurance option, typically a surety bond, is nonrefundable and still leaves tenants on the hook for damages. Washington Teachers’ Union president dies after car crash
