Want to make your commute more meaningful and fun at the same time? Transit Equity Day is coming up on Feb. 4, and some DC leaders will be honoring it as the second-ever “Bus to Work Day.” To lead up to it, Erin Palmer, ANC Commissioner for 4B02, created a cool game called Transportation Bingo for residents to play. Here’s how it works.

The rules of the game

According to the Transportation BINGO page, all you have to do to play is:

  1. Print or take a screenshot of the Transportation Bingo card. (Shown above)
  2. Between Tuesday, Jan. 28 and Tuesday, Feb. 4, mark squares as you can (one per trip) throughout the week.
  3. If you are on social media, share your progress, as well as challenges and successes with #TranspoBINGO. Urge your friends, neighbors, and colleagues to participate!
  4. Attend a happy hour at Jackpot, 726 7th Street NW, in Chinatown. Organizers and GGWash will be there at 5:30 pm giving out prizes to the three individuals who have made the most progress filling their cards over the week.

See how simple that is?

Transportation BINGO was originally inspired in part by the Action Committee for Transit’s week-long transit challenge, said Palmer, and is hosted by Handlebars DC, the Coalition for Smarter Growth and Greater Greater Washington.

Let us know how you do.
