Yellow Line goes to Greenbelt sooner than planned
At the same time the Blue and Yellow Lines close in Virginia, Metro will extend the Yellow Line to Greenbelt, a service addition originally scheduled to begin in July. This will enable Metro to keep more service running on the non-closed parts of the Yellow Line. (PoPville)
No riders told Metro about the door malfunction
Metro pulled its 3000-series cars after an employee saw a Facebook video showing the train doors open while in motion. No riders used the train's intercom to tell the train driver about it at the time, so the agency didn't know for over a day, according to Paul Wiedefeld. (Max Smith / WTOP)

Scooter docking stations coming to DC
