Look closely at this picture. That's the Potomac River in the foreground, Gaithersburg in the center, and on the horizon barely visible, the skyscrapers of downtown Baltimore.

I snapped this photo last fall from an airplane leaving Dulles Airport, flying over Loudoun County. I was aiming for Gaithersburg's conspicuous little skyline, and didn't notice Baltimore hanging on the horizon until I was back home, uploading pictures to Flickr.

Not counting photos from space, I never expected to see a Montgomery County skyline and downtown Baltimore in the same picture. It's too cool not to share.
