On Monday, Metro announced its schedule of weeknight and weekend track work. With so much of the system being upgraded and maintained, it’s difficult to remember when to expect delays and disruptions.

Therefore, we’ve created a new track work calendar.

We’ll do our best to keep it updated, but please remember that it is subject to change. We cannot guarantee its accuracy, but every effort will be made to keep it up to date. Always check with Metro, though, before starting your trip.

The calendar will only reflect scheduled track work, not unscheduled service disruptions. We’d welcome your suggestions for improvements.

Note that there is one major track work project coming up in late May. The Orange Line will be completely closed between East Falls Church and West Falls Church the entire Memorial Day weekend (May 28-31), including Monday. Free shuttle buses will connect East and West Falls Church stations. Riders are advised to add at least 30 minutes to their travel time. This closure allows construction of the Silver/Orange Line connection.
