Midday single-tracking and more
Metro is planning on midday track work to more quickly repair the faulty power cable assemblies identified by the NTSB. Metro is also considering up to a week of nonstop single-tracking on some sections of track during the summer months. (Post)
An open invitation
Governor Hogan received a formal invitation from supporters to tour the Purple Line route. Hogan, who was impressed with Japan’s maglev trains after taking a tour, said he had not been invited to see the route. (Bethesda Beat)
Bus blight?
Montgomery County Executive Leggett met with residents worried about the impact of the Corridor Cities Transitway, a planned Bus Rapid Transit route. Some residents said they don’t see the value of the route. (Gazette)
