Not to endlessly harp on the stadium, but Marc Fisher verifies that Metro is handling crowds much better than many expected. Moreover, private entrepreneurs are filling the parking demand by letting fans park in private spaces for an appropriate fee.

This is a great way to provide parking: if someone wants to park, they can pay what it’s worth. If they don’t want to pay, Metro is cheaper. People can make a real choice between driving and transit without government subsidizing the driving option, as they would be if they had built more garages (like New York did).
