For ANC in southern Ward 6
Ward 6 has more contested ANC seats than in any other ward, and between streetcars on H Street NE, development around Union Station, bike lanes on M SE/SW, and bike sharing at Lincoln Park, there are plenty of transportation and development debates to go around as well as issues around retail, development and more. One example is the P1 bus, which makes a one-block loop to stop in front of Federal Center SW Metro on its… Keep reading…

Robinson’s wedge politics destructive for DC
While Vince Gray is running under a mantra of “one city” and claims to want to bring all residents together, Kelvin Robinson is working hard to drive them apart. His campaign strategy revolves around inflaming divisions within Ward 6, a shameful strategy that doesn’t belong in DC. As Mike DeBonis first reported, Robinson is challenging Tommy Wells’… Keep reading…

Circulator could fill Shuttle-Bug’s role for Southwest
As we reported last month, some Southwest residents are advocating for the return of the Shuttle-Bug, a minibus service in the Waterfront neighborhood. But re-routing existing Circulator buses could do a better job at lower cost, and it would be relatively easy to implement. Shuttle-Bug ran every 20-30 minutes and was originally designed as a temporary service while… Keep reading…
