Support victims of traffic violence in Ride for Your Life 2023: Last year, Families for Safe Streets MoCo and WABA organized the Ride for Your Life to honor Sarah Langenkamp, who was killed in Bethesda earlier that year. This year, they are hosting the 2023 Ride for Your Life on the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims to raise public awareness of the many traffic victims within the DC metro area and take a cycling tour past various crash sites. Remember those lost to traffic violence in Northern Virginia: Unsafe driving habits and loose traffic regulations have led to over 30 traffic fatalities and serious injuries in Northern Virginia. This Sunday, join members of Northern Virginia Families for Safe Streets (NoVA FSS) to participate in World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims 2023. At this event, NoVa FSS will focus on calling attention to the need for change when it comes to the issue of traffic fatalities and serious injuries. They plan to elevate the voices of those affected, and advocate for robust traffic regulations with a vision of zero traffic fatalities and serious injuries in all three Northern Virginia jurisdictions of Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax.
