Union Station environmental study concludes, financing remains uncertain
With the Federal Railroad Administration’s release last week of an environmental impact statement for the Union Station redevelopment week, focus now shifts to funding. The $8.8 billion project can’t tap into the $66 billion in federal infrastructure dollars allocated to Amtrak until it’s shovel-ready.
