MoCo backtracks on free Ride On fares
Switching from a preliminary decision of free Ride On fares through June 2023, county council members voted to charge $1 per ride instead of the pre-pandemic fee of $2. This decision coincides with what County Executive Marc Elrich initially thought was best because he wasn’t sure if federal money to subsidize the rides would continue.
