Metro plans for Yellow Line service shutdowns in 2022
Metro plans an “extended shutdown” of Yellow Line service between L’Enfant Plaza and the Pentagon, as the system preps for major renovations to a bridge spanning the Potomac River and nearby tunnels. DC didn’t seek reciprocity agreement on traffic camera tickets from VA and MD
DC Mayor Muriel Bowser never sought out Virginia and Maryland governors to secure reciprocity agreements for automated traffic camera tickets, even though a government report turned into DC Council last week said she did. Bowser was required, under a safety bill passed by DC Council last year, to seek out the agreements. Bowser said this week that the original report has been corrected. (Jordan Pascale / DCist. Montgomery County Council redistricting map options down to three
The three maps for the seven new county council districts in Montgomery County have one thing in common — all have Rockville and Gaithersburg in one district. But the maps vary in other ways. The county is set to make a final choice during its Oct. 20 meeting. The council was expanded from five to seven seats after a November 2020 vote. Next phase of Capitol Crossing development likely to get approved
A zoning hearing is scheduled next week on a second-stage planned unit development (PUD) application for a Capitol Crossing development. Driver who hit pedestrians in Pike & Rose turns herself in
