Join TransitCenter for a paneled discussion about “how women consider the role of policing on transit, and how agencies can create a more inclusive vision for public safety.”

Panelists will include: Scarlett De Leon, Organizing and Outreach Program Manager, Alliance for Community Transit – Los Angeles, Meghna Khanna, Senior Director, Countywide Planning & Development, LA Metro, and Lateefah Simon, President, BART Board of Directors & President, Akonadi Foundation. Ashley Pryce, TransitCenter’s Senior Advocacy Associate, will moderate the discussion.

See how DC has transformed: Join Howard University and Quinnipiac University as they host “From Go-Go Chocolate Enclaves to Uber-Latte Neighborhoods: Aesthetics of Race, Place & Urban Redevelopment in the Capital City.” The virtual one day symposium will explore “issues of urban revitalization, demographic shifts & political pressures, housing affordability, aesthetics and community place-making, and all other relevant matters toward creating equitable cities.”
