Events: How housing, workers’ rights, and environmental justice connect with transit
To celebrate Transit Equity Day, and in recognition of the 107th birthday of civil rights leader Rosa Parks, activists, labor unions and students will join together for a discussion about “the intersection of housing, public transit, and workers’ rights and how the movement for environmental and economic justice must address the related issues of affordable housing near transit and expanding access to affordable, accessible, reliable, clean transit.” The panel chat will focus on Montgomery and Prince George’s counties.
The event will begin at 6:30 pm at the CASA Multicultural Center, 8151 15th Ave, Hyattsville, Md. Though free, this event requires registration.
