The right (or wrong) leadership in our region will deeply impact how our cities and neighborhoods grow, develop and adapt. If you care about having enough homes for everyone to live here, or about having high-quality and equitable transportation options, make sure you and your neighbors vote for leaders that will support good urbanism.

On Tuesday, November 7, Virginia voters like you will cast their ballots for statewide office, state legislature, and some county positions. Here's who GGWash has endorsed:

  • Ralph Northam for governor
  • Erik Gutshall for Arlington County Board
  • Danica Roem for Delegate in District 13 (Prince William/Manassas Park)
  • Kathleen Murphy for Delegate in District 34 (Fairfax/Loudoun)

It's important we understand where these candidates stand on the issues we care about. We arrived at these endorsements by surveying our contributors, and then the Editorial Board made the final decisions. You can read the full reasoning for our endorsements here.

Make sure you vote this Tuesday, November 7 and support strong urbanist candidates like these!
