Greater Greater Education was born a year ago today, with the mission of providing a forum to explore ways to improve education in DC.

It’s been an eventful year for both DC schools and GGE, with much discussion of topics like the deficiencies of DCPS middle schools, the controversy surrounding the troubled Options charter school, and the best ways to measure student achievement and school quality. And, of course, much, much more.

Our readership has been growing, and we hope we’ve been able to shed some light on the sometimes murky and confusing DC education landscape. We’d love to hear from you about what you have found helpful and what you would like more (or less) of.

Are there subjects we haven’t addressed that you’d like to hear about? Are there subjects that we’ve gone overboard on? Or maybe there are things we’ve done just right?

Please let us know your thoughts in the comments. And if you have a specific idea for a post, or (even better) if you’d like to write for us yourself, please send an email to info@ggdcedu.org. We’re always looking for suggestions and contributors.
