Meet the new (and old) editorial team!

It’s not long until Greater Greater Baby is born, and to prepare for it, the Greater Greater family has been growing in other ways, with a team of new and longtime editors picking up the day-to-day management responsibilities for the site.

Dan Reed has been the Greater Greater Washington main editor for several months now, helping turn our contributors’ great raw material into even better posts. Dan is continuing to do this, and is also scheduling the posts on Greater Greater Washington.

Natalie Wexler is now editing all Greater Greater Education posts, as well as managing the @ggdcedu Twitter feed and emails to the main mailbox, info@ggdcedu.org.

We have 5 new Breakfast Links curators, Kayla Gail Anthony, Elina Bravve, Chad Maddox, Matt Malinowski, and Sam Sherwood. They put together the link roundups each morning, and Steven Yates has stepped into the role of editor to review and add to each links post.

Matt Johnson is moderating the comments, and will be the one to keep our comment threads on track and away from personal insults. Geoff Hatchard is putting his grammatical and punctuation eagle eye to work noticing and fixing typos and other errors in our posts.

Jaime Fearer is handling @ggwash on Twitter and info@greatergreaterwashington.org. Aimee Custis, Dan Malouff, and Ken Archer are also taking on some responsibilities around our internal editing processes that help the lead editors in important ways.

Please thank all of them for their help, as well as all of our wonderful contributors, like the authors of the past week’s posts, Kelly Blynn, Jessica Christy, Jay Corbalis, David Cranor, Aimee Custis, Veronica Davis, Dharm Guruswamy, Matt Johnson, Dan Malouff, Dan Reed, Navid Roshan, and Abigail Zenner as well as the Breakfast Links curators.

Also, we still need more contributors! A number of you volunteered in the last round, and that’s terrific. But we always need more folks to write about things going on in their own communities, especially in Virginia, in Prince George’s, the east side of DC, and in upper Northwest DC. Greater Greater Education is looking for more people to talk about what’s going on with education as well.
