Silver Spring gets connected
An 800-foot road connection near Briggs Chaney Middle School in Silver Spring will go forward. Residents say it will draw cut-through traffic, but the road already got traffic calming which has slowed down cars. (Gazette)

Goats help landscape vacant lots
One farmer wanted to use his goats in Detroit to graze on overgrown vacant lots. He hoped it would engage residents and help revitalize the area but the program ended since raising animals is not allowed in the city. (NPR)
