Maureen Coffey, Susan Cunningham win Democratic primary for Arlington County Board
Maureen Coffey and Susan Cunningham have won the Democratic Party nomination for the Arlington County Board in the county’s first ranked choice election. First-choice votes for Coffey, a renter, came disproportionately from residents living along dense Metro-accessible corridors, while Cunningham drew first-choice votes from wealthy areas of single family homes. Maryland Governor confirms that I-270, Beltway expansion will continue despite lawsuit
The Moore Administration confirmed with MoCo360 in a statement that the administration is moving forward with plans to expand I-270 and I-495, including a replacement for the American Legion Bridge — but officials say they will review the plans through an equity lens. Planning study shows variety in intercity bus options across Washington region

DASH using I-395 toll revenue to purchase electric buses, increase peak service
A boost in the form of $14 million in I-395 toll revenue will enable DASH in Alexandria to purchase two electric buses and maintain 10-minute headways on the service’s busiest routes, the 35 and 36 A/B that serve West End, Parkfairfax, Arlandria and Potomac Yard. (ALXnow)
Most Virginia homes sold for more than their listing price in May
As demand continues to outpace supply, about 70% of home sales in Virginia last month came in above their asking price, according to a recent Bright MLS survey. Seventy-five percent of homes in the mid-Atlantic received more than one offer. (UrbanTurf)
