1,700 new residential units planned for Howard University and nearby properties over the next decade
The planned projects consist of over 40 buildings both on- and off-campus and would add about 1,700 new residential units. Howard University Hospital will also be relocated into a new campus on the 2200 block of Sixth Street, NW. (UrbanTurf)
Two crash-prone intersections to be redesigned in Alexandria

DC Councilmember introduces bill to help residents switch from gas stoves to electric stoves
The Healthy Homes and Residential Electrification Amendment Act of 2023 would fully fund the shift to electric stoves for eligible DC residents with incomes under $80,000. Alexandria Planning Commission to review affordable housing development plans for Braddock area
The Alexandria Redevelopment Housing Authority proposed the Samuel Madden redevelopment to replace 66 units of public housing with 532 residential units, including 326 affordable housing units. MoCo’s biggest multifamily rooftop solar installation coming to Seneca Village
The solar array slated for Seneca Village, a 684-unit affordable housing project in Gaithersburg, will be Montgomery County’s largest multifamily rooftop solar installation project.
