GGWash Planners of Color Happy Hour

To celebrate the summer, Greater Greater Washington is making space for planners, advocates, and other community leaders of color to meet and connect. We’ll be hosting a “planners of color” meet-up on July 17 from 6:00 - 8:00 at Shanklin Hall (NOT Franklin Hall), a black-owned gathering space on 18th Street.

Connect with a diverse community of local planners and advocates and meet other folks who are engaged with centering equity in housing, transportation, and land-use policy.

This space is offered to any planning or planning-adjacent professional who identifies as a person of color. If you feel you belong in this space, you do belong in this space, and we welcome you.

You also don’t need to be an urban planner to attend, just share our vision of a Washington region where housing is abundant and affordable, it’s safe and easy to get around without a car, and land use decisions prioritize racial, social, and environmental justice.
