DC Council Chairman Phil Mendelson proposes housing budget tweaks
His proposal includes moving some funds from the Housing Production Trust Fund, the District’s main resource to fund affordable housing, to increase the number of housing vouchers for families at risk of homelessness in the rapid rehousing program. Metro on-time performance drops
91% of Metrorail trips were on time in the three months before a 7000-series train derailed in October 2021, but only 72% of rail trips were on time in the first three months of 2022. Metrorail customer satisfaction has also dropped during this time. (Tom Roussey / WJLA)
Arlington breaks ground on Transitway Extension

College Park mixed-use development seeks resident diversity
College Park gets a new 393-unit mixed-use development this summer. The development was not entirely targeted toward students, but rather others who might live and work in College Park. College Park Mayor Patrick Wojahn commented that it might help downtown businesses during times when school is out. (The Diamondback)
