Events: Use the power of the pen to push for accessible public transportation in DC

Waiting at a bus stop by Joe Flood licensed under Creative Commons.

Public transportation provides access to so many things: jobs, food, services, education, medical care, and more. Many times, however, communities of color have inadequate access to public transportation. Join Jeremiah Lowery, Director of Advocacy at the Washington Area Bicycle Association, as he discusses key problems and solutions around transportation equity in DC. Then you’ll learn to write letters to the editor to submit to media outlets in support of transportation solutions.

This free event is from 7 to 8:30 pm Tuesday (Feb. 1). Register here.
