DC historic preservation office could help fund Mt. Pleasant balcony restoration
Condo and co-op residents of a Mt. Pleasant apartment building are fighting against a decision from DC’s Historic Preservation Review Board that they pay to restore decorative balconies, a project that could be financially insurmountable for the building’s low-income residents. Now officials say the building could get additional assistance from D.C.’s Historic Preservation Office.
