No streetcar surprise
The DC streetcar will not be included in Mayor Gray’s last-minute ribbon-cutting spree. The administration and DDOT had wanted to start service before 2015. (WTOP)
Wait till spring
The Silver Spring Transit Center will miss its hoped-for completion date of December 31. Montgomery County now predicts construction will be complete in April or May. (Gazette)

Mayor Gray signed one of his last bills into law to build the DC United soccer stadium. He predicted the stadium would take its place alongside other big projects like Nationals Park and the Verizon Center. (Post)

No Port Authority reform
New York and New Jersey’s governors vetoed legislation to reform the Port Authority. Instead, they recommend an overhaul of the PATH train, and perhaps eliminating overnight service. (WNYC)
