8:16: Hagan beats Dole!

10:58: Obama wins Virginia!

11:00: Obama WINS!

Not much yet from DC BOEE. Brown & Brown ahead for at-large, but Mara is beating write-ins and the rest of the field. There’s no runner-up prize for third, but it’s still not bad.

No interesting ANC races called yet (and may not be for 10 days, the time needed for early/absentee votes to be counted).

11:24: DC results are up to 13%. These include all precincts in the Shaw ANC (2C), DC’s most hotly contested. It looks like reformers Alex Padro and Kevin Chapple have retained their seats, and will be joined by Theresa Sule, who appears to have beaten Barbara Curtis. Fellow “old guard” Commissioner Doris Brooks appears to have kept her seat. These are just preliminary results, and don’t include early voting and absentee ballots, so we may not be certain today or even this week.

11:58: Connolly wins. Not much of a surprise there.

12:17: Obama’s speech just concluded. Amazing speechwriters. Amazing speaker.

12:22: Another 15% of DC results were just released. In 3C05, Anne-Marie Bairstow looks to have won, leading over Jenelle Dennis almost 2 to 1 with all non-early/absentee votes counted. Challenger Tom Whitley is beating anti-ping pong 3F04 Commissioner Frank Winstead 72% to 25% (wow!) And Willette Seaward appears to be on track to unseat Tony Scurry in 7D06.

Yes we can go to sleep now.
