Google Maps has finally launched Street View for DC. While the blog announcement features examples all from the federal portion of the city, it has almost all streets in DC, Arlington, and Alexandria, with heavy coverage east to Bowie and then to Annapolis, and south from Alexandria to Springfield and Fort Belvoir. MoCo has just the main roads. Baltimore also launched today, with most roads inside their beltway covered.

You can now explore all kinds of places in DC, like the planned streetcar alignment on South Capitol Street to Bolling AFB. (Well, actually, only some parts of South Capitol made it in.)

Here’s my favorite house exterior in Dupont Circle (the blue one; you can’t see all the great trim detail in the picture, unfortunately):

Can you find some great spots? Beautiful vistas? Crazy people doing things that shouldn’t be caught on camera? Awful or beautiful modern buildings? Post your favorite or least favorite Street View spots in the comments.
