Majority of DC’s council of opposes Commanders stadium at RFK
In a letter to Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, seven of the 13 DC council members suggested the federally-owned site instead be used for more housing, retail, and green spaces. DC’s in-person voting starts today

Family remembers teen cyclist fatally struck by driver in Bethesda
Enzo Alvarenga, an 18-year-old college sophomore, spoke three languages, loved art, music, and culture, and desired to cover soccer as a sports journalist, according to friends and family. Police say the teen’s bicycle went off the sidewalk along Old Georgetown Road and he was struck by a driver around 4 pm on June 1. He died at the scene. (Christine Zhu / Bethesda Magazine)
Partial shutdown on Metrorail’s Blue and Silver lines this weekend
