The District Department of Transportation is updating moveDC, the 25-year vision for DC’s transportation system. This Thursday, from 5:30 to 7 pm, DDOT staff from the moveDC team will join Greater Greater Washington for an open house to talk about what’s been happening with the plan.

DDOT will share the results from the first phase of public engagement and show the updated priority mobility network maps and the new transportation needs map. Click here to register for this event.

What’s the latest with DDOT’s Near Northwest III safety and mobility study: DDOT is also hosting several virtual public meetings to discuss the upcoming Near Northwest III Safety and Mobility Study. The study was created to “improve the daily quality of life by taking a big picture look at the transportation network in the Logan Circle, Shaw, Cardozo, U Street Corridor, and several other DC neighborhoods. The study wraps up this fall, but you can weigh in on the conversation this Tuesday beginning at 5:30 pm. Click here to register.

Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad in Maryland: Take a virtual tour to learn more about Harriet Tubman, abolitionist and political activist, and her many connections to Underground Railroad sites in Maryland. Saturday, Feb. 20

Take a picture. It actually will last longer: Want to learn how to use photography to capture how DC is changing? Photographers Joel Hoffman and Roy Sewall will lead an online workshop, on how to conduct a street photography survey. This event, sponsored by DC History Center will be held from 2 to 3:30 pm this Saturday. Costs for the workshop run from $20 to $30. Register here
