Jack Evans made ‘multiple violations’ of the Metro board’s ethics code
A law firm retained by the Metro board to investigate Chairman Jack Evans found “evidence of multiple violations” of the board’s ethics code and the Metro Compact. A second trans woman was killed on Eastern Avenue
Zoe Spears, a 23-year-old transgender woman, was shot and killed in Fairmount Heights, Maryland on June 13, only blocks away from where Ashanti Carmon, a 27-year-old trans woman, was killed in March. A DC resident is suing JBG for not accepting housing vouchers in Shaw
A DC resident sued developer JBG Smith Properties in DC Superior Court after she said she was told that JBG does not accept DC Housing Choice vouchers at its Atlantic Plumbing apartment building in Shaw. The median price of a home sold in DC in May was $600,555, an increase of 56% from the district’s median selling price for the same month in 2010.
