DCist’s Martin Austermuhle pointed out that our tagline, “The Washington, DC area is great. But it could be greater,” eerily resembles another from a past political campaign:

This sign was almost destroyed in a fire at the Capital Lounge bar on Pennsylvania Avenue, SE in 2005, an establishment that later suffered another fire and is owned by Joe Englert, who also owns The Argonaut which burned on Sunday.

And no, I had no idea about this when I chose the tagline.
