The DC Taxicab Commission has a new name: District Department of For-Hire Vehicles, but not much else will change. The group is now a regulatory agency, and its appointed commission will instead serve as an advisory council. (WAMU)
Fairfax ups FAR
Taller buildings can now come to areas near Metro and in aging commercial zones in Fairfax, after the Board of Supervisors changed zoning requirements to allow higher density. Many say they’re worried about increased traffic congestion under the new rules. (Post)

Georgetown connects the bike trails
