What’s next for the DC Streetcar?: DC wants to expand its streetcar. Learn about the plans to make it run from Union Station to Georgetown, and the potential environmental impacts, at a public meeting on Tuesday, May 17, at 6:00 pm on the first floor of Carnegie Library (801 K Street NW). Then, learn about the environmental impact for the proposed extension east of the Benning Road Metro at a public meeting on Thursday, May 19, at 6 pm at 4058 Minnesota Avenue NE.

Fairfax bike infrastructure: Fairfax County wants to make it easier to ride a bike along Little River Turnpike, from the City of Fairfax to Alexandria. Share your thoughts on the project at a community meeting on Tuesday, May 17, at 6:30 pm at Annandale Terrace Elementary School (7604 Herald Street).
Connecting Reston: Street grids could make parts of Reston more connected to one another. Head over to a community meeting on Reston’s plan to make it easier to walk, bike, and drive this Wednesday, May 18, at 7 pm at 11400 South Lakes Drive and share your thoughts on connectivity and transit.
Tour the City of Fairfax: Join Coalition for Smarter Growth for a walking tour of the City of Fairfax this Sunday, May 22, at 1 pm to learn about the city’s popular new town green and learn about the planning update to bring new transportation options and redevelopment to this small historic city. Talk about the housing shortage: A panel of housing experts will discuss potential solutions for the region’s housing crisis at a May 24th forum hosted by Leadership Greater Washington. HOV on I-66: HOV lanes are coming to I-66. Learn about the details at one of three public meetings next week. The first is on Monday, May 23, at 2900 Sutton Road in Vienna, the second is on Tuesday, May 24, at 4975 Alliance Drive in Fairfax, and the third is on Wednesday, May 25, at 8302 Linton Hall Road in Bristow. All meetings begin at 6:30 pm.
