Height Act public hearings

Money for DC small businesses
Mayor Gray unveiled $2.1 million in grants for DC small businesses to make renovations and expand. Planned improvements include beautification of side walls, signage, and building façades. (WBJ)
Construction of new Metrobus garage underway
A new $89 million Metrobus garage broke ground in Fairfax county, allowing for the old garage on Alexandria’s Royal Street to be torn down. The garage will have double the capacity and is expected to be completed in 2015. (WTOP)
MoCo tackles overcrowding
A new 5-year, $1.55 billion construction plan aims to address Montgomery County Schools’ overcrowding issues. Montgomery County faces a projected increase of 2,000 students per year over the next six years. (WAMU)
