Metro proposes more bus changes
Metro is proposing more changes to the 30s routes within DC to decrease crowding and delays. One of the proposed routes would connect SE with NW via freeway, skipping most of Downtown. (PlanItMetro)
Go to National Harbor by boat
A new riverboat service started this week, connecting National Harbor with the Mall and Georgetown. Based on prices and frequencies, the service is intended for tourists, not commuters. (DCist)
Japan hops on the maglev train
Japan will start construction on a maglev train that will run as fast as 500 km/h, completing its initial 286 km route between Tokyo and Nagoya in 40 minutes. The line is expected to open in 2027. (International Railway Journal)
