The feds tell Metro to rearrange its maintenance plans

Fifteen big shutdowns, and many smaller ones, will get Metro repairs on track
The plan is finally here. Metro is launching a plan it calls “SafeTrack” to replace significant portions of the system’s rails, fix numerous safety problems, and bring the system closer to a state of good repair.
