RFPs are just a way for the requester to emulate fairness while sales and business development teams who respond can tell their management that they did everything they could to win the deal. AMZN already made its decision long ago - the whole thing is a farce. Ask anyone who works on preparing proposals - I'll bet their loss rates are over 80% - so why does anyone perpetuate this unproductive process? It has the appearance of due diligence on both sides.
